Earthsongs Music Collective is dedicated to rekindling the natural, noble, and sacred role of musicians.
Musicians are healers, shaman, culture stewards, high esteemed advisors, heroes, leaders, blessers, medicine makers, and meaning-makers.
For the longest arc of human time,
musicians were not our entertainers, they weren’t pop celebrities,
they weren’t discarded by the wayside of industry,
musicians were not mined for their genius.
Musicians gave every culture vitality.
Since the first light of day,
since the first day,
musicians made the prayers.

Musicians sang our grief songs, sang our tribal histories, recounted ancestral lineages, played our epic poems, animated our mythologies, presided over tribal agreements, sang the sick to life, and sang our dead kin to the afterlife.
Musicians praised the generosity of Mother Earth for her offerings of food, fiber, water, fire, air, and beauty. And in response to their praise, Mother Earth gave us even more!
Musicians moved the rituals.

Musicians sang our houses into being, planted our fields, wove tapestries, forged metal, cooked food, made tools, initiated youth, fired clay pots, and regenerated every culture's cosmological origins.
